My name is Tuaimanu Petaia, and I am a pianist/educator active on the Bay Area upper-Peninsula, from Millbrae up to, but not including, San Francisco. I teach one-on-one piano lessons and have done so for the last 15 years, but also serve as an accompanist for a wide variety of contexts. Please click here for more information about my teaching and for signups, and here for more information about where I've worked as an accompanist and for booking. If you'd like to just make a general inquiry about either lessons or accompanying, please email me at mpetaia90@outlook.com.
In the spring of 2021, I completed my Masters of Music Performance at California State University Northridge, in the northeastern part of Los Angeles, under the tutelage of Dr. Dmitry Rachmanov. I also recieved a solid foundation in both research techniques and theory, two elements of music education I feel are indispensible in the training of young pianists. In 2016 I received my Bachelors of Music degree in Piano Performance from San Francisco State University, under the direction of Dr. Roger Woodward.
In my spare time I enjoy composing, and experimenting in music production.
